English footballer Wayne Rooney has re-joined his boyhood club Everton FC for an undisclosed fee after 13 years at Manchester United on Sunday. 

The 31-year-old left Everton in 2004 for Old Trafford at the age of 18 where he became the highest club scorer surpassing Sir Bobby Charlton's record of 249 goals in January 2017.  

Rooney moved to his boyhood club amidst reports of huge offers from China and USA. He also reportedly takes a wage cut in his move to the Merseyside.
